A critical member of the team is the leader of the food program.  The Academy Food Manager will be responsible for the day to day operations of the corps\u2019 mobile kitchen truck. Responsibilities include planning, ordering and managing the preparation of meals for the corps\u2019 200+ members and staff while overseeing a group of assigned volunteers. The Food Manager will work with our administrative team to ensure our performers are receiving the proper nutrition for their rigorous physical activity and schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Responsibilities<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ability to Prep, Cook and Serve 4 meals a day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan meals for 200+ members and staff to ensure that all are receiving the proper nutrition for their rigorous physical activity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inventory management on the kitchen truck and pantry including maximizing storage space utilization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee food ordering through Th eAcademy&#8217;s SYSCO Foods account, Sam&#8217;s Club, Costco, etc. and local food ordering as necessary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate with the administrative team any daily needs outside of weekly food deliveries.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee kitchen truck volunteers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Responsible for the final unloading and cleaning of the kitchen truck when it returns to Tempe after the season. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager-800x800.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4574\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager-800x800.png 800w, https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager-400x400.png 400w, https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager-280x280.png 280w, https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager-768x768.png 768w, https:\/\/www.arizonaacademy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Food-Manager.png 1080w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Location and Schedule:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Food Manager will travel full-time with The Academy from approximately May 26th through August 13th. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preferably, the Food Manager would serve in this capacity during all training camps throughout the spring, which comprise of 5 weekend camps approximately once per month until May.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Compensation<\/span><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Food Manager will receive compensation commensurate with experience.  Additionally, all corps-related travel, housing, and meal expenses will be covered by The Academy.
